Project Description

For over seven years Beaver Excavating provided construction services at Republic Services’ Countywide Landfill located near Bolivar, Ohio.

Projects at the Countywide facility have included excavation, blasting, coal mining, structural fill, recompacted soil liners, leachate collection and force-main systems, aggregate drainage layers, daily cover loading, haul road construction and implementation of storm water pollution prevention plans. Over the seven-year period, Beaver excavated more than 70 acres, moved over 7 million cy of earth and installed 85 acres of liner at the Countywide Landfill.

Construction schedule and work quality are very important at landfills such as Countywide. Since they use “just-in-time” construction, work is not started until just prior to requiring additional space. Beaver’s work on 9 cells at Countywide has helped Republic Services maintain their ability to accept waste at this facility’s fully permitted capacity.

Beaver Excavating excels at landfill/environmental projects because of its employees’ knowledge and experience and its large, well-maintained equipment fleet that gets the job done right, on-time and on-budget.
