Project Description

Twenty-five miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Beaver Excavating was first on the site for the critical initial grading work for the area’s new Tanger Outlet Center. Encompassing more than 80 acres, Beaver’s ability to commit the necessary equipment and personnel was a key factor in successfully completing the site construction requirements under a demanding project schedule.

In order to expedite construction of the outlet center’s nine buildings, which included 370,000 sf of retail space, Beaver Excavating was able to fast-track delivery of the building pad areas while still maintaining the overall project schedule – critical to the success of the project for Tanger Outlet.

Beaver’s 50-man crew performed site excavation and grading, utility installation, paving, and erosion and sedimentation control including; 1.2 million cy of blasting within the project’s 2 million cy of excavation, over 44,000 lf of pipe, 30,000 lf of curb, and more than 26 acres of asphalt pavement. Despite permit delays, local noise ordinances and work-hour restrictions, Beaver completed the project on-time.
